First of all, please allow me a question: would you buy a new car and accept scratches on the paintwork, technical defects or other visible indications of poor quality and still pay full price? I doubt it, so why should you accept less than the best when buying real estate in Spain?

A "Real Estate Check" means the following: the property will be subject to a thorough and detailed check of absolutely everything that is visible, touchable, measurable etc. The following represents a non-exhaustive list of the features that I will check, in my attempt to draw to your attention any imperfections, sub-quality workmanship or faults:

It is very rare that my eyes and experience allow me to miss a fault or flaw. After the check you will receive a ‘Real Estate Check File’ with a list of any faults, their location, a photograph and a sample photograph of how the job should be finished, if appropriate. This will help you to put an argument to the salesperson who tells you, “it can’t be done any better way”, and will put you in a good position to insist on the perfect job. In special cases I will take clients to a location where I am able to show them genuine examples of the perfect job.
